HOW TO IRON ON THE PATCH

Iron on glue is one of the most commonly used backing methods for patch products. As long as you use it with an iron, you can easily fix the patch to the position you want. It is also very simple to use. First of all, you need to confirm whether the main material of the patch is suitable. Iron on glue products can be attached to the fabric surface, melt the glue through an iron, and penetrate into the fiber gaps of the fabric. After cooling, it can be fixedly combined with the fabric surface. It is suitable for most fabric materials. If your fabric material is not heat-resistant or has a water-repellent treatment on the surface, it is not suitable to be attached by iron on glue.

WOVEN PATCHES vs EMBROIDERY PATCHES

WOVEN PATCHES vs EMBROIDERY PATCHES

In addition to embroidered patches, there is also a commonly used method of making patches called fine woven patches. The main difference between a woven patch and an embroidery patch is that the woven patch is a one-time weaving of the entire product, including the cloth bottom and the logo. The fine weave makes the surface of the patch more compact and flat, and the pattern can also show more details. If your design is a more complex or smaller patch, you can choose to make it by weaving.

Compared with fine woven patch, the characteristic of the embroidery patch is that the pattern is more 3D. This is because the embroidery patch is made by embroidering the pattern on the bottom of the cloth. According to your design, you can do full embroidery or keep the bottom of the cloth. Because the pattern is woven by embroidery thread, it cannot show a detailed design, but the embossed feeling can make the embroidery patch more three-dimensional visually.

The two embroidery methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. For different designs, you can choose a suitable method for production.
