Artwork Preparation Guidelines
To ensure your design achieves the ideal 3D puffy effect and accurate color reproduction, please follow the artwork guidelines below before submitting your files:
- File Format: AI (Adobe Illustrator) vector files are recommended (CC version or later). Please convert all text to outlines (Create Outlines). If submitting a PSD file, the resolution must be at least 300 dpi, and all layers should remain separate and unmerged.
- Color Mode: All artwork must be set to CMYK mode rather than RGB to ensure the printed colors match expectations as closely as possible.
- Cut Line & Safe Spacing:
- Create a separate “Cut Line” layer and use a spot color (such as C:0% M:100% Y:0% K:0%) for the outline.
- Keep cut lines smooth and rounded whenever possible. Avoid overly sharp inward corners.
- Maintain 2–3 mm spacing between each sticker icons (measured at the narrowest point) and extend the artwork 1 mm beyond the cut line for bleed to allow for cutting tolerance.
- Keep all stickers at least 3 mm away from the sheet edge.
Double-Layer 3D Depth Effect
Want to achieve the refined floating 3D depth effect shown in our examples? The key lies in creating your artwork with two separate printing layers.
By taking advantage of the physical thickness of the crystal resin, the artwork is separated into a bottom layer and a surface layer for printing. This naturally creates foreground and background depth, dimensional shadows, and a more dynamic appearance—bringing flat illustrations to life.
How to Separate the Artwork Layers — Pharaoh Example
Bottom Layer Printing —Place the character’s overall outline, base body colors, background, or large base areas on this layer, such as the Pharaoh’s face and the gold areas of the headdress.
Surface Layer Printing —Place details that should visually stand out, including accessories, dimensional shadows, text, or logos, such as the Pharaoh’s body and the blue areas of the headdress.
